Range of services

Examinations & therapy

1

Orthoptic exercises

Vision therapy is carried out in 40-minute sessions, during which exercises address visual dysfunctions such as strabismus, amblyopia, convergence insufficiency, accommodative and binocular vision disorders, and abnormalities of visual-motor coordination and extraocular muscle function. Therapy also covers sensory integration disorders and learning difficulties at school resulting from visual system abnormalities.

2

Optometric-orthoptic examination for children

A computerised eye examination or retinoscopy. Assessment of visual acuity at distance and near. Orthoptic diagnosis allows detection of strabismus and amblyopia, and assessment of binocular vision, convergence, accommodation, depth perception and extraocular muscle function.

3

Synoptophore examination

A fundamental examination performed to detect and determine the angle of strabismus. In addition, the patient’s degree of binocular vision is assessed.

4

Prism selection

Prism selection includes a full optometric eye examination. The magnitude of the strabismus is determined using various methods, along with the size and type of prisms and the method of correcting the existing deviation.

5

Optometric eye examination for adults

The examination includes a medical history covering symptoms and visual needs, a computerised eye examination and measurement of central corneal curvatures. Selection of spectacle lens power using a phoropter and a trial lens set. It also includes assessment of binocular vision — binocular balance, the presence of strabismus and depth perception.

6

Fitting of soft contact lenses

Before fitting begins, a full optometric eye examination is performed together with an assessment of the anterior segment of the eye using a biomicroscope, in order to rule out contraindications to contact lens wear. Once the power, type and parameters of the lenses are determined, they are applied and the fit is assessed. During the visit the patient learns to insert, remove and care for the lenses independently. The price also includes a follow-up visit with a visual acuity test in the lenses, an assessment of the fit and a check of the anterior segment of the eye.

7

Intraocular pressure measurement

Measurement by non-contact tonometry. The results — separately for the right and left eye — represent the average intraocular pressure from three individual measurements.

Details and the current price list are arranged individually — please get in touch by phone.
